The Lembeh Strait is world famous for its amazing muck diving and outstanding density of critters, making it an underwater photographer’s dream. Whether you are a budding photographer or already an experienced shooter, an underwater photography workshop in Lembeh is an incredible experience - especially when you’re surrounded by renowned professionals.

Capturing Critters in Lembeh is an annual event held at Lembeh Resort, which is now in its 6th year running, and with each year the event continues to grow and attract some of the world’s most esteemed underwater photographers. The 2017 event features visiting Photo Pros Alex Tattersall, Martin Edge and Ethan Daniels combined with Lembeh Resort’s in house Photo Pro, Sascha Janson and Marine Biologist Dimpy Jacobs. This well-rounded team of experts will host presentations, seminars and one-on-one instruction as well as provide practical underwater guidance. With their intimate knowledge gained through years of diving the Lembeh Strait, they’ll be discussing photography essentials such as camera settings, composition, lighting techniques, how to get the most out of this unique environment, plus photo organisation and editing strategies.

Participants of the 2017 workshop will not only experience Sulawesi’s best dive sites and stay at one of Indonesia’s best dive resorts they’ll be diving with leading underwater photographers and producing images to prove it.

Capturing Critters in Lembeh is aimed at all levels of photographers and all camera systems from compact “point and shoot” to DSLR rigs – whatever the set-up, the professionals will be on hand to ensure that each participant achieves the maximum results possible.

The 2017 workshop is from 6th – 13th December with an optional 3 night advanced workshop extension to learn more in-depth techniques, skills and to spend more time with the pros.

Capturing Critters in Lembeh 2017 is US$ 2,660 per person in an Deluxe Ocean View Cottage (double or twin share) and includes:
