Eirik is a Norwegian-based awarded conservation photographer and nature guide specializing in polar areas. He has been running his own company since 2007 where he also is involved in a wide range of scientific work as a field technician, especially on various seabird projects as well as working with animal groups such as large predators and cetaceans. His keen interest in birds from a young age, together with his University degree in zoology and his strong interest in conservation issues, have helped him gain valuable knowledge and a deep respect for nature. This is also represented in his photography where his aim is to raise awareness through imagery and communicate complex and often sensitive issues in a simple way. The aim is to photograph how it feels, not how it looks.
